The more I listen to Grammatics’ remarkable S/T debut, the more I hear Cursive/Tim Kasher’s influence on the band. Their non-LP 7” single Double Negative (out since October 26th via Dance To The Radio) sounds more Cursive inspired than anything the band have ever done; in fact, the other track on the 7” is a cover of Notes In His Pockets by The Good Life (Kasher’s other band.)
Grammatics: Notes In His Pockets (The Good Life cover) [wicked-cool song]
[bonus] The Good Life: Notes In His Pockets (Acoustic) from Album Of The Year Acoustic Demos [wicked-cool song]
