happy canadian music week!

Like fellow Canadian bands such as Great Lake Swimmers and The Acorn, Plants and Animals also make remarkably breathtaking and passionate music. Parc Avenue is stunningly gorgeous right from the get-go when Warren Spicer sings in a soft and delicate tone "what’s going to happen to you? You have forgot too soon…" According to the band’s website, the album cover consists of friends from the neighborhood and people who worked on the record. In the same way, the album feels quite intimate and communal, which very much reflects the idea behind the cover photo. Plants and Animals are playing two shows in Toronto for CMW this week: 11:10pm on March 6 at the Horseshoe and a FREE show at Criminal Records in Toronto on March 7 at 6:00 pm.
