festival: come, arrow, come!

Festival is Lindsay and Alexis Powell and their new record is called Come, Arrow, Come! The album's tribal and avant-garde style resemble Akron/Family and Wildbirds & Peacedrums, but the instrumentation is mostly quite minimal as the melodies and flows of each song are carried out in an almost a cappella fashion. There is really no need for extra sounds since the sisters’ magnificent voices intertwine with one another perfectly to produce stimulating textures.
