10. Code Orange Kids: Love Is Love // Return To Dust
Loud and melodic, a near flawless hardcore record; in fact, "Flowermouth (The Leech)" is the best hardcore track of the year!
9. alt-J: An Awesome Wave
Love how chill and relax the album makes me feel, I can really get lost to the music, especially to "Taro".
8. Museum Mouth: Sexy But Not Happy
This lo-fi noise pop record is raw, fun and incredibly catchy.
7. Jake Bugg: Jake Bugg
At just 18, Jake Bugg is beyond talented! A fine songwriter and with such a wonderful voice, this kid will be huge one day!
6. Pacer: Making Plans
One of the finest pop-punk records I have ever heard.
5. Converge: All We Love We Leave Behind
Extremely loud and explosive; best Converge album to date... fucking love it!
4. Breton: Other Peoples Problems
A perfect marriage of rock and electronic sound, the fast pace and heavy bass throughout the record will without a doubt make you move/dance.
3. Apologies, I Have None: London
An album full of emotionally charged and epic ballads; Dan Bond’s vocal is absolutely captivating!
2. The Gaslight Anthem: Handwritten
This band can do no wrong. Yet another incredible record – "45", "Handwritten", "Here Comes My Man" and "National Anthem" are among my most played songs of the year.
"Here in the dark, I cherish the moonlight
I'm in love with the way you're in love with the night
And it travels from heart to limb to pen" ...Favourite lines of the year!
1. Title Fight: Floral Green
A perfect album! I have not felt so emotionally attached to an album in a very long time. Every track on Floral Green is memorable and features some genuinely beautiful (and terrifyingly relatable) lyrics. "Secret Society" and "Head In The Ceiling Fan" are two of the best songs of the year.
