new videos from cocorosie and radiohead

Here's a couple of new videos for your viewing pleasure:

The first one is Cocorosie’s psychedelic colour trip for "God Has A Voice, She Speaks Through Me".

The second video is Radiohead’s powerfully chilling video for "All I Need", my favourite track from In Rainbows.

cover song of the moment

Calico Horse’s simple and striped-down take on "Idioteque" undeniably stands out among the dozen of bad Radiohead covers out there!

Calico Horse: Idioteque (Radiohead Cover) [wicked-cool song]

my heart comes undone

Radiohead posted a new video at http://www2.radiohead.tv/ yesterday. It’s a strange little video with a very nice surprise in the middle (the 7:50 mark)... ok... it’s a cover of Björk’s "Unravel"!!!!!! Unfortunately, if you watch the video at the link above, you have no control of the video whatsoever. So, if you want to skip the first half of the video (even though you get to see Thom Yorke drops some sick beats) and head straight for the "Unravel" cover, you can do so below.

Bishi: Never Seen Your Face Single
First single from Bishi's forthcoming album Nnights at the Circus (review coming soon). Note that if you play "The Three Ravens" from the 7" at the wrong speed (33 rpm), Bishi sounds identical to Antony from Antony & The Johnsons!

Never Seen Your Face [wicked-cool song]

Beirut: The Flying Club Cup
Beirut brings forth a bigger, more romantic, and more ambitious approach than Gulag Orkestar. The new record is notably epic and dramatic, the sound is grand and it gives the effect of an overall communal feeling. Zach Condon’s immeasurable vision has made The Flying Club Cup a musical spectacle!

Cliquot [super-wicked-cool song]
Forks And Knives (La Fete) [wicked-cool song]
